Kink Bingo: A Multi-Fandom Prompt Fest
Just a quick reminder that kink_bingo is running from June 1st through September 30th. Maybe you have questions!
1) What iskink_bingo? It's a prompt card in the form of a bingo card, which you can make fanworks to fill out with the goal of getting a five-in-a-row bingo! There's no pre-start sign-up, no pressure of an exchange, and almost year-long amnesty period after requesting a bingo card to post any kind of fanwork to the community.
From thekink_bingo community profile: Sign up to participate, and we'll give you a bingo card with 24 kinks on it. You then pick which kinks you want to do in order to make a bingo (a single straight line, horizontally, vertically, or diagonally; blackouts, X's, and +'s also count as bingos) and to get achievements. To fill a square, you can write fic, draw art, make a manip, make a recs set, make a vid, write a fannish essay, or basically anything else you can think of. Once you've completed a bingo, you post a link to your stories/art/vidlets/etc in the community, tell everyone what achievements you qualify for, and get commemorative banners and icons. You can play as long as you like, in as many fandoms as you like, with as many pairings as you like – if you keep writing, we'll keep giving you achievements. Once you've completed a bingo on your card, you can either keep going on that card or request a new card from the mods. You cannot request a new card until you've completed at least one bingo on the card you're given.
2) I don't write anything above a G or PG or PG-13. Why would I be interested in this? To quotekink_bingo's own rules, "we like and encourage G-rated and PG-rated interpretations of kinks, solo kink fic, dialogue-only kink fic, stories and art and crafts that are kinky as heck but where no one takes their clothes off, and stories/art where the character's relationship to the kink, though intense, isn't necessarily sexual." If you read kink_wiki's explaination of kinks, they really show how almost anything that might show up on a bingo card could be written as G, PG or PG-13 while still fitting the spirit of kink_bingo.
3) Why are you posting this ondramione? kink_bingo is a multi-fandom fest!
Becausekink_bingo can be used in any fandom and for any pairing! It's a giant fun fest that allows people to spring-board off of collective community fun to make their own personal work. There are achievements, prizes, and a really awesome wiki-resource at kink_wiki that helps answer questions as well as provide really interesting and inspiring explanations!
In short,kink_bingo is ridiculously fun, easy for a newbie to particpate in, and participating will probably lead to some great Dramione-centric pieces. Which is, after all, what anyone who's a member of dramione probably likes to see! :)
