If you weren't aware, Manacled by SenLinYu has been rewritten and will be traditionally published on September 23rd as Alchemised. The author announced dates for a speaking/signing tour and there will be midnight release parties all over the U.S.!

Tom Felton plays Draco again

Tom Felton will be playing Draco Malfoy again in this fall's run of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in Broadway. I don't typically head canon Draco as Tom Felton but seeing him in this costume matches more with how I "see" him when reading fanfiction. Maybe that's also because I tend to gravitate towards stories set further along into Draco and Hermione's lives :P

Looking for mods of DMHG Fic Exchange

Hi!

I'm looking for the original moderators of the DMHG Fic Exchange. I've been looking at their journals, and a lot of them seem to be deleted or inactive.

I want to talk with them about the possibility of making the DMHG Fic Exchange a rescued archive over at AO3, through the Open Doors project.

It's my understanding that the community was not intended to go inactive/closed/shutdown, but to remain as an open archive for readers to continue to peruse for years to come. However, it did require moderator approval to be added as a new member, but it seems like it's been years since new members were added.

Notes:Thanks to the mods for allowing me some time after my home broadband gave up on life. As for the story I can only say it kept following its own idea after the first couple of paragraphs created a more complex world than I might have delved into. Canon is the base of it all but I have come up with my own take on werewolves clearly and also broadly stretched the what-if questions based on if us muggles noticed the wizards scarpering about. It is best to be kept in mind that Draco and Hermione will be OOC to some extent because the back-story of this is far more than anything they actually experienced in canon. I hope it still stays true to t hem though and proves an enjoyable read. Draco refers to Artemisia Lufkin when talking of previous minsiters who was the first female Minister for Magic.
Summary:

"I guess I started my life as a muggle and then learned I was more and then I was made more again. I made my first true friend and it led me to war and sacrifice and kill or be killed. I have come to terms with the fact that my life goes the way it goes and I just need to react to it in the best way that I can." Hermione states flatly after a few moments of tense silence. Her arms are folded over her chest and Draco is very aware of the determination and danger in her eyes.

"That is the oddest acceptance to a dinner date I have ever heard." Draco replies in bewilderment.

I was wondering if any of you know the name of this dramione fanfictions where ron, harry and draco are aurors and fighting dark wizards. but, ron dies and hermioen marries draco and becomes the stepmother of scorpius and mother of aurora malfoy. Then, scorpius gets kidnapped and there's some magical book or something. I'm not sure.

Crack Broom needs reccers!

Hello, hello Dramione shippers. The crack_broom community needs help from Dramione fans. There was no one to rec in April at all, and currently there is no one to rec for May. The sign-up post is located here.

Reccing for crack_broom is very simple. The minimum required is four fic recs (from different authors) in a month. That's only one a week. You're also allowed to rec an additional four fics if you choose, plus art, vids, and podfic. The allowable recs are these:

You then need to post a minimum of four fic recs over the month, you can also rec up to four more fics (maximum eight altogether). Up to two of these recs can be re-recs of old fics. The flier may also post a total of four additional recs made up of any combination of ART, VID and PODFIC recs. These are not included in the four minimum, or eight maximum fic rec count for the month. The same fic cannot be recced as a fic and as a podfic.

A change in the rules means that fics recced previously, like the classics you know and love or that really hot fic from an older fest, are allowed to be recced again.

Recs can be from anywhere online, so that includes ff.net, H&V, AO3, wattpad, aff.net - wherever! Rules and the question post are here.

Dramione used to have a good showing on crack_broom, but we've faded out in recent months. I know a lot of shippers have moved to Tumblr, but I know there's also still a lot of fans everywhere. If the queue empties and it's hard to get people to sign up, the pairing could get moved down to rare. Let's keep that from happening! Please sign up if you know that you can follow through and make four recs in your assigned month.
