Yeah, those are totally three things that I want to see at the authorial level! For pretty much any fic, but Obsessive!Draco fics tend to, uh, be the worst-scorers on those three counts. >_O
Fic which hits those three criteria are more than a touch rare. Sometimes I want to toss authors a textbook on the Virgin/Whore dichotomy, just because I think that a number of fic authors haven't necessarily been exposed to much feminist theory (and it shows in their work).
Overall, I don't mind if Hermione engages in dubious actions or doubts her decisions or makes choices that aren't necessarily in her best interest, as long as the narrative/author is pretty damn clear about what's going on.
Crickey, I think that next week we should have a 'Rec your favorite feminist authors/fics posts, and explain why you like 'em'! XD
