There's a line from the short animated film 'Rejected' (which is a fantastic piece of WTFBBQ-amazing obscenely violent stick-figure animation - warning, might have stick-figure cannibalism!) which perfectly sums up my relationship with fanfiction.

"I am a consumer whore."
